Instructions to Install your GloveTipsTM

Note: Video is shown at actual speed. Each step is broken down below for your convenience and to increase your GloveTip accuracy.

GloveTipsTM are quick and easy to install.

As you saw in the video above, it can take less than a minute and a half to install. Each Kit contains all of the tools necessary to mount the GloveTip on your gloves. If you follow the directions carefully and watch the videos, you'll see how simple it is to make your gloves touchscreen compatible.

Introduction and Product Overview





A GloveTip is a round disk of flexible fabric with silver thread stiched into the center that extends from the disk like a tail. It has an adhesive on its underside that is exposed once the backing is removed.
Each GloveTipsTM kit includes:

How do GloveTipsTM Work?

The GloveTip is mounted on your glove and the silver tail is threaded inside of your glove (which will touch your hand when you wear the glove). Whenever your finger or hand touches the fabric strip or the tail, the silver dot in the center of the GloveTip will interact with any capacitive touchscreen device.  Detailed installation videos are available below.

Before You Begin and Considerations

Before You Begin:

Mounting GloveTipsTM involves piercing your glove with a needle. The adhesive on the back of the GloveTip will protect and seal the area. The adhesive is semi-permanent, designed to ease removal and minimize damage to your glove. WARNING: Installation requires handling of a Pull Needle. The Pull Needle is very sharp and must be handled carefully. Replace safety cap after use and keep out of the reach of children.

Considerations:

GloveTips Installed Proper placement increases accuracy. We recommend that you place them on the tips of the fingers and thumb. You should place it where you still have a good view of exactly where you are touching the device. Trust me on this, you will thank me later. GloveTips in Use

Installation Instructions - Detailed and broken down into steps

DETAILED INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1 - Select Mounting Locations

Selecting the mounting location is the most important step. Let me repeat that. Seleting the mounting location is the most important step. This will impact how you can use your device. You should put your glove on, pick up your device and figure out exactly where on your glove will make contact with the touchscreen. Keep in mind that you need to see where you're typing, so keep the mounting location closer to the tip of of the finger. We HIGHLY recommend that you view the video below on mounting locations.

Step 2 - Insert Pull Needle

Remove the safety cap on the Pull Needle and carefully insert inside the glove so the needle is points towards the chosen location. If needle catches on padding, hold the needle as shown and insert entire hand into glove to guide needle to the location. When the needle is under the mounting location, carefully pierce the glove so the eye of the needle is sticking though the glove at the mounting location you marked in Step 1.

 

Step 3 - Thread the Pull Needle with the GloveTip

Thread the eye of the pull needle with the tail of the GloveTip. A needle threader is included to help. Insert the needle threader through the eye of the Pull Needle. Place the tail of the GloveTip through the opening of the needle threader. Remove the needle threader from the eye of the pull needle--this will pull the tail through the eye of the pull needle.

Step 4 - Remove the Pull Needle and Mount on Glove

Remove the Pull Needle from the glove--which will pull the GloveTip tail inside the glove. Pull the tail until the GloveTip is close to the mounting location. Remove the adhesive backing from the back of the GloveTip and gently pull the tail to move the GloveTip closer to the mounting location. Carefully mount it on the glove. The fabric stretches to make it easier to wrap around curved areas without wrinkles. Adjust as necessary.

Step 5 - Finishing Touches

Tie the tail around the middle of the center of the fabric strip and push all of the fabric and thread inside the glove. So long as your finger or hand touches the fabric or the thread, the silver dot on the GloveTip will interact with any capacitive touchscreen device.
